Watch out Maura Higgins, there is a new Irish bombshell set to hit the Majorcan villa on the upcoming season of Love Island!
24-year-old Megan Forte Clarke is reportedly set to star on the reality dating show and is the first cast member to be revealed. The Mail Online announced that the brunette will be appearing on the ITV series.
Megan has a sizeable social media following, which will likely drastically increase after her appearance on the show. She is well used to the limelight, too, as she works as an actress.
The soon-to-be islander has a first-class honours degree in the profession, which she earned at The Brighton Academy in England. She is comfortable on centre stage, as she recently starred as one of the Ugly Sisters in a production of Cinderella.
Megan has previously admitted that she is ‘unlucky in love’, likening herself to everyone’s favourite hopeless romantic, Bridget Jones.
She shared a video, jokingly saying: ‘I am the modern day Bridget Jones. Can I hold a man down? Don’t be silly. Have I just been ghosted again? Absolutely. Am I still funny AF with great t*ts? Obvs.’
A TV source told MailOnline: ‘Megan is a gorgeous girl, she’s funny, and right now, couldn’t be unluckier in love, making her the perfect Islander. Comparisons to Maura are inevitable, and if anything, Megan will see it as a huge compliment.’
‘ITV are yet to officially confirm the lineup of singletons heading into the villa this year, but with the show’s launch just a week away, it won’t be long until they do.’
Love Island took to social media to reveal that it will return to our screens on Monday, June 9, at 9pm. ‘Mark your calendar, you’re invited to this year’s hottest meeting,’ they wrote in the post.
Series host Maya Jama has already touched down in Majorca to get the villa ready for the singletons to enter next week. We can’t wait to watch!
