Leeds United and Brighton are both in the race to sign Feyenoord talent Igor Paixao ahead of the 2025/26 campaign.
Daniel Farke, who Football Insider understand has £150million to splash at Leeds this summer, will hope to secure Premier League safety next season after winning the Championship title this term.
The Seagulls, on the other hand, finished one spot outside of European qualification spots during Fabian Hurzeler‘s first season in England, but will be looking to improve and push further next season.
Both clubs look to have set their sights on an exciting talent from the Eredivisie, with the Paixao boasting 18 goals and 14 assists in 47 appearances this season, including six goal contributions in the Premier League.
Capable of playing on the left flank or through the middle, he seems like a simple replacement for Tottenham’s Manor Solomon, whose future is uncertain after becoming a key figure at Elland Road.

Football Insider verdict
Football Insider understands that Leeds have been dealt a blow in their quest to sign Solomon on a permanent deal, so the left flank could be vacant for a new talent to impress.
Without the signing of the Tottenham star, Wilfried Gnonto and Largie Ramazani are likely to occupy the position, though the former is likely to play on the opposite side, while the latter has not proven himself yet.
Leeds cannot afford to drop back down to the Championship once again, having taken two seasons to get back to the Premier League, and Brighton have ambitions of their own next season.

Mick Brown told Football Insider that Hurzeler was under pressure after clashing with Brighton fans just two months ago, but those same supporters seem to be back on the young boss’ side.
The Seagulls won four of their five final games of the Premier League season, only drawing to Newcastle United, but it was not enough to break into the Europa Conference League spots for next season.
While Feyenoord will be back in Champions League qualifying rounds next season, the pull of possibly playing in the Premier League might be too great for the 24-year-old talent.
