Cynthia Erivo will discuss her forthcoming second studio album, I Forgive You, in a livestream discussion on TalkShopLive.
The conversation takes place today at 2 p.m. PT/5 p.m. ET on the livestreaming platform and will be simulcast on The Hollywood Reporter‘s Facebook page. In the video preview seen below, the Wicked star will chat about “the making of the record, the songs and [will] even take some questions” from viewers. Fans can receive a link to buy an exclusive edition of the Wicked star’s new album on CD or vinyl with an autographed art card insert by hitting the shop button on TalkShopLive or on this webpage’s livestream, or commenting “SHOP” during the Instagram or Facebook simulcasts.
The Grammy-, Emmy- and Tony Award-winning multihyphenate will release I Forgive You on June 6. The 20-track album blends pop, R&B, Britpop, folk, gospel, wailing and yodeling. Erivo says she hopes listeners will “see the human in me. When you’re in the public eye, people forget that you are human because they see you as an entity, but not actually flesh and bone, just like everybody else.”
I Forgive You comes ahead of Erivo’s three-night performance in Christ Superstar (in which she plays Jesus) at the Hollywood Bowl in August and the one-woman Dracula at London’s West End next year.
