Jefferson Louis only made 10 appearances for Bristol Rovers but has enjoyed an extensive playing career
Former Bristol Rovers striker Jefferson Louis has retired from playing football after an extensive career that saw the 46-year-old make 51 transfers over 28 years.
Louis only made 10 appearances during a brief spell at Rovers in 2005, playing under Ian Atkins. He failed to score in blue-and-white quarters, and is better known for his time at other clubs such as Oxford United, Mansfield Town, Wrexham, Crawley Town and Lincoln City.

More recently, the forward has played at an array of non-league outfits. In the past five years, he has represented Beaconsfield Town, North Leigh, Risborough Rangers, Thame United, Slough Town and Beaconsfield Town before ending his career back at Thame United.
The vast majority of Louis’ playing career came outside of the Football League, with Rovers one of just three clubs he represented in League Two, alongside Mansfield and Oxford United.
After making a whopping 51 transfers during his career, the news of Louis’ retirement has gone semi-viral in the online football world with Copa90 stating the striker must have “the most impressive journeyman career of all time”.
Taking to social media platform X, Louis wrote: “A young boy that had a dream, and I lived it, but it’s now time to call it a day!
“To go to the age of 46 is something I’m hugely proud of. Massive thanks to my former managers, teammates and fans that have supported me throughout. Now to give back to the next generation.”
Since, the forward has returned to Slough Town as an assistant first team coach.
