Little Pyg continues topping the charts as it has taken home gold for the third time at the Top European Pizza Awards.
It’s a hat-trick victory for the popular pizza spot, located in the Powerscourt Townhouse Centre.
The restaurant, which boasts its use of ‘only the best Italian and Irish ingredients’, was crowned Ireland’s top pizza and ranked 16th in Europe by 2,000 top food critics, who travelled to Madrid for the special occasion.

The stakes are high; As one of Europe’s top 18 pizzerias, Little Pyg will represent Ireland at the World Pizza Championships in Naples in September. (Think the Olympics, but with tomato sauce and mozzarella).
Widely considered the gold standard in European pizza excellence, the Top European Pizza Awards were launched in Italy in 2017. So it’s kind of a big deal for Little Pyg- and we’re taking it as gospel!

While it’s officially the best pizza in Ireland, Little Pyg also offers its patrons the beautiful scenery of Powerscourt Townhouse’s central courtyard.
And what would a feed be without a tipple to wash it down, and restaurantgoers can avail of the popular Pygtails cocktail deal (two for €24), and a selection of Italian wines.

Little Pyg’s head chef Federico Rapali said: ‘I’m incredibly proud to share that we have been named Best Pizzeria in Ireland for the third year in a row as well as ranking #16 in Europe at the 2025 Top Pizza Awards. This recognition means everything.
‘It is a reflection of relentless passion, long hours and the belief that great pizza can bring people together. To my amazing team and our loyal guests, thank you for making this journey possible.’

‘What started as a dream has grown into something far greater than I ever imagined. Here’s to tradition, innovation and never settling for anything less than excellence,’ Federico continued.
If you’ve not yet treated your tastebuds to a pizza from Little Pyg (which are all €20 and under), what are you waiting for?
