Last night, Oliver Anthony took to social media to reveal the release date for his new song “Scornful Woman.” Posting a clip from The Joe Rogan Experience, where Rogan and guest Cody Tucker listened to the unreleased track and shared their excitement, Anthony captioned the post simply: “June 4th.”
After listening to the upcoming track, Rogan stated, “In the middle of all this honey-honey, sugar-sugar s***, there’s still all of Anthony,” showing an appreciation for Anthony’s refusal to conform to the mainstream.
Oliver Anthony hasn’t released new music since 2024. Following his May album, Hymnal Of A Troubled Man’s Mind, he has only released two singles, one of which is a cover of John Denver‘s “Take Me Home, Country Roads.” In December, Oliver Anthony posted a video calling out artists who overuse technology, including autotune, drum loops, and backing tracks during on-stage performances. Regardless of the artists Anthony refers to, it reminded him that he isn’t chasing trends or sonic perfection in his music. At his core, Oliver is more interested in keeping the soul in his music.
