The first two teams from the 2025 Women’s College World Series were sent home on May 30.
Now down to six teams, the WCWS returns to the winner’s bracket on May 31 with a pair of matchups from the winners from opening day from Devon Park in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. While the day’s games are important, no teams will be sent home from today’s action.
The action opens with a matchup between SEC rivals No. 6 seed Texas and No. 2 seed Oklahoma, teams that also featured in the championship series matchup last season. Action continues with a game between No. 9 UCLA and No. 12 Texas Tech. Those games’ winners will play again on June 2, and will need one more victory to reach the championship series.

The Women’s College World Series will see pivotal action for all four remaining teams. The winners get another day off on and return to action on June 2, needing to be beaten twice to be eliminated. Conversely, the loser will be back in action in an elimination game on June 1.
No. 6 Texas will likely depend on Teagan Kavan again after she shut out Florida in a 3-0 win in the Longhorns’ WCWS opener. Meanwhile, No. 2 Oklahoma will continue to lean on Sam Landry in the circle. For No. 12 Texas Tech, NiJaree Canady will seek to continue her impressive postseason, while No. 9 UCLA will hope to continue relying on its walk-off magic.
