OKLAHOMA CITY (KSWO) – Service Oklahoma is reminding boat owners of the July 1 deadline for registration renewals.
According to the department, House Bill 2010, or Andy’s Law, was passed in 2023, adding a carbon monoxide warning sticker as a part of the registration process. Owners also receive an informational pamphlet on the dangers of carbon monoxide poisoning while on water.
As part of state requirements: “All boats with motors, motorized vessels and outboard motors with an excess of 10 horsepower require title and registration.” Boats and outboard motors must be registered separately for either one or three years at a time.
The registration can be done at any nearby Service Oklahoma location. You can find the nearest location here. For more information on boat registration, you can visit here.
