Dr Tony Holohan has revealed that he is just days away from marrying his new love, yoga teacher Ciara Cronin. The former Chief Medical Officer announced that the couple will tie the knot next week.
The doctor shared a sweet snap of the loved-up pair enjoying the last of single life as they basked in the Dún Laoghaire sunshine ahead of their big day. ‘One week to go to our big day- I’m so happy that Ciara and I will spend the rest of our lives together,’ he captioned the sweet post.
Fans were quick to gush over the soon-to-be bride and groom, with one person writing: ‘Wishing you both a lifetime of happiness together. Congratulations Dr Holohan and your new bride Ciara.’

‘Wishing you a very happy life together,’ a second person penned, while a third added: ‘Every good wish. You are both wonderful.’
Tony revealed that he had started seeing Ciara back in 2023, two years after his wife, Dr Emer Feely, died at the height of the pandemic from multiple myeloma.

He previously spoke about finding love in his soon-to-be wife after the tragedy of Emer’s passing. Ciara provided solace for the health professional during the dark days.
‘When life gives you a second chance, you better grab it with both hands… and Ciara is my second chance,’ he said at the event held at the Museum of Modern Literature on St Stephen’s Green in Dublin.

Their wedding is likely to be a big affair, the couple has proved very popular with each other’s families. Ciara got the seal of approval from two very special people early on, Tony’s two kids, Ronan and Clodagh.
The adult kids will probably be very involved in the festivities on their dad’s special day.
Tony also spoke about how well they have slotted into each other’s lives, saying: ‘She has been very well accepted not just into my own nuclear family if you like, the children, but also the wider families, both Emer’s and mine, it has been lovely.’
